Just found out I can blog directly from my flickr site. Nice. This was a postcard designed for an event honoring emergency workers in the Charlotte area. I went with actual members of the church instead of stock photos, which people were pretty excited about.

well... i was going to write a post about how, if you were in the springfield/yellowsprings/xenia/cedarville area of ohio tomorrow, you should check out the neat little film festival i mentioned in my last post. but as i sent in my video yesterday, i was informed that they did not have enough entries to make a go of it. bummer for them.
i had a lot of fun trying my hand at a video, though. i was quite out of my depth, but had a good time nonetheless. it is now posted on youtube, so you can check it out yourself, if you like.
like i said, i'm a bit out of my depth technically, so between exporting and uploading it the sound and animation quality have suffered a bit. and my mother has informed me that i have misspelled dysfunction - i have decided it would be too much to go back through and change it. sorry, mom.

working on a (very short) video for a film night some friends are doing. they live in ohio, and making a video for their lil' festival makes me almost feel like i'm still there.
the duel:
all films must be titled "the duel"
all films must be in black and white
all films must be no longer than 8 minutes
all films must be dialogue free

I'm a big fan of this identity. probably my favorite logo mark I've done since the FoFA logo a while back. And this one's actually going to get used a bunch, which is always neat.
The worst thing about being a print designer is posting something on your blog, and being underwhelmed by it's visual impact. Seriously, this postcard invite looks really, really good. Everything pops just right when you're holding it in your hand.
It's not bad here. But it's just not print. You know what I mean.

i enjoyed this - i got to take this high school kid's sketch and make something snazzy out of it.
girls softball sweatshirt.
the first proof i was getting ready to present for this shirt said "lady nights - do nothing average." my wife caught it, thankfully.
check it out! it's a poster! with lots of !!!s on it!
